Tuesday 22nd; THANK YOU

When starting this year I knew one of the main aspects to me would be meeting new people and learning from them, seeing there different styles of work and how they go about briefs, especially between areas.

I also anticipated to learn more about technology and other skills. I have been surprised though how much of this though I have learnt of my peers. Joe has been really helpful with Illustrator, Photoshop and Corel Draw, (for laser cutting) I picked this work up today! The negative pattern of the letters is perfect for what I have had in mind. Alan had also kept the positive letters for me, which has only expanded my project! I now have plenty of ideas, on how to make my space interactive and interesting. Interesting Instructions-who would believe it?!

Charlotte has been a great help too, from just discussing ideas, we realised we were both using crochet in our work. She was therefore able to help me perfect the technique but I was also able to give her the chance to really understand how she did every bit, aspects you don't realise un till you have to 'instruct' someone. This is a great example of what I want to show in my project too! It is things like this why I value reviews, peer group reviews and walking around different areas.

Although I am now not using crochet, it shows development and without doing it i may not have realised how tight the time constraints were and how much I need to speed my work progress up! It is also a skill I have wanted learn properly for a while and is still strong research.
