Monday 28th; RESOURCES

Making use of every resource in Design is vital and today I have been exploring EBAY, an online, store that I am yet to master. Known for its bargains in the bizarre and wonderful! I hope to find instruction booklets as primary resources/sources. As well as collect and photograph some of my own.

The diagrams in instructions are what draws me to read, I want to pull the words and the 'drawings' together, I will experiment today and make sheets, explaining what I can do with instructions and how I can present them and different presentation techniques.

Amy had an Ikea box with the holding instructions for how it pops out, on her desk and was kind enough to let me have it. These simple black line drawings can be recreated with wire (wire drawings), pencil, stick and ink and pen, something perfect to allow visual experimentation. Bring to live the research in journal and sketchbooks. This style could also be used for lettering, the narrative through out the exhibition area/or book text, both will look good together, even!

Finally to generate some of the line drawings myself, I can use Photoshop especially, with the beginners book I purchased today!
