Weekend of 21st and 22nd; Pictorial account of so far

Knitting is one of the skills I'am 'Instructing' how to do through models, with the instructions of how to knit included on them. These models are samples of how to make instructions more interesting and the idea that they could be made; more sustainable, interesting and user friendly.
An interactive way to learn a new skill or how to use a product. Instead of making the product, how I exactly see it in industry/the market. I have made a presentable artistic interpretation, from this you can see how the idea could be applied without limiting the idea, as it is so broad. One example of how the idea could be applied practically is flat pack furniture. Imagine instructions being on a clear sticker on every piece of the furniture, so when you pick up a piece it has on it exactly what you need to do with it. You only have the pieces you are putting together, no unnecessary sheets or languages that you personally do not need. And on the packaging a similar set-up, the instructions would be printed on the packaging as you quite often have to keep that anyway. Basically practical instructions linking in with what you already have and with what you are doing. Another interpretation/practical use is an option when shopping online, when shopping online there could be an option for the language you need, instead of a manual you would then get an 'instruction card' with what you need, to reduce and waste confusion.
The 'tool kit' I have got organised for when putting my space together, as a lot can be decided as I go along.
The plastic beads for example could only be added at the last stage, if they look right, if there is enough light etc.
In the end I will have one of these 'collaged' instruction cards for each of the 5 instructions, these will be put in an old empty book bind I have already prepared.
The very initial state of the instructions I am working from, this will be used as research, not in the show. However I will copy the instructions from this onto acetate to use in my space, to show how impractical and awkward traditional instructions are, acetate will just look better with my style.

The same idea just presented again, this time with instructions of 'wire drawing'. The model again represents an 'opening', representing how making instructions easier to use will 'open up new opportunities'.
On the right is the final 'wire drawing instruction model' the rest are samples/how I got to the final, practices, will still be used in my space. Remembering over all I want my space to look at first confusing, only when at a closer look there are instructions, quality models, things that make sense.
I have written in the same style through out to match the font from the book pages I have used through out, again these are the book pages I used for the laser cut letters.

The three models of 'instructions of how to draw with wire' based on the shape of a mussel shell opening.
